Heather Spilkin is filmmaker and editor based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work as an editor includes television, documentaries, promotional videos, webisodes, and the award winning narrative feature "Mendy." In 2008, she directed, produced, and edited "Above Brooklyn," a feature-length documentary about Brooklyn's rooftop pigeon breeders. "Above Brooklyn" premiered on September 2009 at the Rooftop Film Festival was recently screened at Anthology Film Archives. Her documentary has been featured in several film blogs including the L Magazine film blog and Frontier Psychiatrist.

Heather enjoys storytelling in all its forms, and is grateful to do what she loves while living in a city full of intriguing stories.
